FAQs
How long is the programme?
The program starts with an initial 6-month structured program, after which you will receive a Membership Award. To work towards attaining the Fellowship, you will be invited to participate in live events and demonstrate personal progress for a minimum of 12 months.
What sectors do you cater for?
Because the foundational principles are the same and there is a lot of overlap, this program is sector-agnostic. We’ve had doctors developing leadership careers in the public sector, starting their own coaching business, opening a new menopause clinic, consulting in Pharma whilst working in the public sector, developing a career in med tech, applying for the Big 3 Consulting firms – and more.
We also have content geared towards specific specialist interests – particularly Health Tech, Pharma and Consulting. We have many doctors in our network who are already practising successful careers in these sectors and we can’t wait to connect you with them!
How much time commitment is there on the programme?
This program is designed to be flexible around your other commitments; e.g. holidays, work, on-calls, family, activities etc.
Our minimum recommended time commitment to get the most out of your investment and to make continuous progression is approximately 2-3 hours a week. Live group sessions / Doctors Mess takes place 2-3x monthly between 7-8:30 pm UK time.
All sessions are remote and will be recorded for your reference.
We also aim to hold up to 2 in-person retreat days per year.
Is getting a job or starting a business the end of the programme?
Not at all.
Getting a job is a fantastic early milestone, however, it’s actually the beginning of creating an important foundation for yourself in growing a career in industry.
The program is designed to not only help you move forward into industry, but to navigate some of the challenges you experience in building your personal brand in your role or as a solopreneur – as well as progressing into a great leader within your sector.
How is the programme delivered?
Remotely (online) and includes a mixture of:
Group mentoring and coaching sessions where we deep dive into your challenges and career goals, co-developing your Personal Development Plan as part of a peer 2 peer learning process.
Online collaborative group learning sessions with delivered content and peer 2 peer learning.
Up to 2 in-person retreat days.

The program is led by Dr. Abeyna Bubbers-Jones and delivered by a diverse group of doctors, industry leaders and Fellows from our previous cohorts.
Many work in industry and from diverse organisations.

Are there any guarantees?
We guarantee you a career in industry within 12 months if you fully engage in the program. In order to be eligible, you will need to have paid for the full program by the end of the 12 month period.
Can I take a pause during the program?
We can offer pauses of up to 3 months through a written agreement on a case by case basis.
Do you have to be in the UK to join?
No. You can join this program from anywhere in the world!
In the first 3 Cohorts, we’ve had doctors in Australia, New Zealand, Dubai and Europe – with interest from doctors in Canada!
I've done an MBA. Do I need this course?
We have had doctors with MBAs on this program who joined for the live learnings, high-value network and opportunity to make huge mindset shifts to achieve their goals.
I want to focus on X module first because of my needs. Do I have to wait to access?
The skillset and mindset to do both are very similar with many overlaps.
We also recognise that many doctors do both as part of a portfolio career or as a stepping stone to one full-time.
We believe it is essential that all doctors learn what’s required to succeed in both situations so they have flexible choices in how they develop their careers over time.
We will have sessions which cater to both groups and sessions for defined interest groups.
Do I have to leave medicine completely to move to industry?
Not at all - many Fellows work in clinical primarily or as a hybrid arrangement. Some move to industry full time. It's totally up to you - it's your career, your way!
